Meridian Water - Ground Improvement (CMCs) for Bridge Abutment CFA Piling Platforms

Project Overview

Meridian Water is a major Enfield regeneration scheme involving the construction of four new bridges to improve access and unlock future development.

The works include ground improvement, reinforced piling platforms to provide a strong enough platform for Bachy Soletanches CFA piling rig.

Prework processing of client information

- Creation of setting out file using AutoCAD LISPCommand scripts (correlated pile reference number with corresponding location)

- CMC/Pile reverting schedule drawing produced to ensure no clashes with future services to be placed into the ground.

Installation of CMC’s (Controlled modulus columns)

- Setting out of CMC's within position tolerances

- CMCs reverted 600mm below the invert level of proposed future services using a 20T excavator with an auger attachment to required depths.

- Post work surveys and processing for submission to main contractor.
